3 Ways to Keep Apparel Orders on Track During Labor Day Week | ScreenPlay

Keep Your Orders on Track During Labor Day Week

Labor Day is almost here, and with the shortened production week, a little planning can go a long way toward keeping your apparel orders on schedule.

At ScreenPlay, we work hard to keep orders moving quickly and efficiently, but holiday closures can tighten production and shipping windows. If you have an important event, deadline, or in-hands date coming up, here are three simple ways to help keep everything on track.

1. Get Proof and Artwork Approvals In Early

One of the easiest ways to avoid unnecessary delays is to review and approve your artwork and proofs as soon as possible.

Production cannot move forward until the required approvals are complete. During a shortened holiday week, even a small delay in artwork approval can have a bigger impact on the final completion date.

When you receive a proof from our team, take a few minutes to review it carefully and respond as quickly as you can.

2. Keep Your In-Hands Date in Mind

Your production completion date and your in-hands date are not always the same thing.

Once production is complete, the order still needs to be packaged, shipped, and delivered. Depending on your location and selected shipping method, transit time may add several additional days.

When placing an order, make sure your requested date allows enough time for both:

  • Production
  • Shipping and transit

If you are working against a firm event date, let our team know as early as possible so we can help you plan accordingly.

3. Submit Time-Sensitive Orders Early

The earlier we receive your order, artwork, garments, and approvals, the better chance we have of meeting your requested timeline.

Holiday weeks are especially important because there are fewer available production days. If you know you have an upcoming promotion, event, fundraiser, or customer deadline, getting the order submitted ahead of time can help avoid unnecessary stress.
